Just as operating systems separated applications from hardware, a new systems layer will separate intelligent applications from individual models. We're building that layer.
Intelligence is getting cheaper. Models improve. Inference improves. Hardware improves. Open models improve. Competition improves. This trend is unlikely to reverse. But applications are getting more complicated: more models, more providers, more agents, more tools, more security boundaries, more decisions. Cheap intelligence does not automatically produce reliable systems.
The abstraction is missing. Applications shouldn't individually solve routing, safety, classification, fallback, execution, isolation, and telemetry. These are systems problems. Systems problems eventually produce infrastructure.

At the same time, agents move AI downward from answering questions into executing actions. That creates demand for decision infrastructure, routing, security, runtime control, and isolation. SpaceSwordAI sits at that intersection. The bet isn't that one model wins. The bet is that there will be many. And the more models there are, the more valuable the layer between applications and models becomes.
